Volterra is easily accessible, but the last few kilometers are winding and uphill. You can reach Volterra through three main roads: from Cecina, from Colle Val d’Elsa, and from Pontedera. The roads, especially near the destination, are in a visibly deteriorated state and are prone to small landslides on rainy days. Safety is ensured, but please exercise caution while driving.
